Miss Universe France

The selection

Who decides, and how

Selected candidates and France’s representative are chosen by the Miss Universe France leadership committee, within the framework set by the international organisation. Here is how that decision is made.

How the decision is made

The selection is run end to end by the organisation’s leadership committee: application review, interviews, then the decision. It is an organisational decision, owned as such, not the result of a vote or an outside panel.

The assessment criteria will be published on this site. Nobody should compete without knowing what she is being assessed on.

Anyone taking part in the assessment declares any connection to a candidate and steps out of decisions concerning her. The principle is simple: you do not assess someone you know.

What we are not promising

The deliberations themselves

These will not be published. Making every exchange public would expose the candidates as much as the committee, and would help nobody.

An appeal on the merits

Selection decisions are final. A complaints address will exist for process and conduct.

A result by public vote

That is not this competition. The public has other ways to weigh in, and they will be open.
